Description

 

Join our team as a senior Electrical Engineer specializing in advanced PCB design and high-speed electronics. In this role, you'll leverage your expertise in Altium Designer to create robust, industrial-grade electronic systems with excellent signal integrity and EMI/EMC compliance. You'll develop sophisticated circuits incorporating cutting-edge components like RISC-V image processors, microprocessors, and various high-speed interfaces. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Design and develop precision electronic schematics and PCB layouts optimized for signal integrity, EMI/EMC performance, and thermal reliability 
  • Create PCBs integrating sensors, RISC-V image processors, microprocessors, and multiple interface types (Ethernet, SPI, I2C, DDR memory, FPGA) 
  • Optimize PCB stack-up and component placement for high-speed signal performance and power integrity 
  • Engineer vibration-resistant and thermally efficient electronics for demanding industrial environments 
  • Perform comprehensive hardware validation and debugging using advanced test equipment 
  • Collaborate with software engineers during hardware-software integration phases 
  • Partner with manufacturing teams to ensure DFM and DFT compliance 
  • Conduct thorough root-cause analysis for hardware issues during development 
Requirements

 

Core Qualifications 

  • Experience: 10+ years total, with 5+ years in relevant PCB design 
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical/Electronics Engineering 
  • Location: Mansfield, MA (on-site position, no remote option) 
  • Tools: Altium Designer, Embedded C 

Technical Requirements 

  • Expert-level proficiency in Altium Designer for all aspects of PCB development 
  • Demonstrated expertise with high-speed interfaces (Ethernet, DDR, SPI, I2C, MIPI, FPGA) 
  • Advanced knowledge of EMI mitigation techniques, signal integrity, and power distribution 
  • Proven experience designing industrial-grade electronics with environmental considerations 
  • Strong hardware debugging skills using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers 
  • Working knowledge of IPC standards and EMI/EMC compliance for FCC/CE certification 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience with AI accelerators and image processing hardware 
  • Low-power embedded design expertise 
  • Programming skills in C and hardware description languages (Verilog/VHDL) 
  • Background in RF and wireless communication circuit design

Salary Description
$115,000-$135,000
