We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Data Technician to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to generate ad hoc reports as needed by various departments, ensuring data is accurate, timely, and relevant. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, possess strong analytical skills, and have experience working with data extraction tools and reporting software.

What you will do:
- Ad Hoc Reporting: Generate and deliver custom reports on an as-needed basis for different departments or business units, based on their specific data requirements.
- Data Extraction: Use database queries, reporting tools, and software systems to pull relevant data from various sources for report generation.
- Data Validation: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the data pulled for reports by conducting quality checks before sharing the results.
- Report Customization: Work closely with stakeholders to understand the purpose and scope of each report, tailoring the data output to meet their needs.
- Legacy Microsoft Access System: Utilize the current Microsoft Access system for managing and querying legacy data while transitioning to the new SQL-based system.
- SQL Implementation: Support the transition from Microsoft Access to SQL, including writing basic SQL queries to extract and report data from the new system.
- Associate’s degree in information technology, data management, business, or a related field is required.
- 4+ years of experience in data reporting, data entry, or a similar technical role is preferred.
- Strong proficiency with reporting and data extraction tools (Excel, Microsoft Access, SQL, etc.).
- Ability to manipulate large datasets and produce customized reports.
- Basic understanding of SQL for data querying.
- Experience with Microsoft Access, with a willingness to transition to SQL-based systems.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and integrity.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with different teams.
