JOB PURPOSE: Staging and delivering product between showrooms.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare and stage merchandise for showroom deliveries in a safe and timely manner.
General delivery truck maintenance and upkeep.
Perform related duties as assigned by management.
Team Responsibilities:
- Complete all required floor work and moves as assigned per showroom plan.
- While visiting one showroom per a day; the team is expected to work up to 6.5 hours or until the tasks are completed at the location. Early departures will be approved by the showroom General Manager.
- Cycle counts will be completed by the showroom.
- Grant access to OneNote.
- Each week, showrooms must update OneNote with any tasks that need to be handled by the team.
Workplace Maintenance:
- The team is responsible for cleaning up packaging waste when executing showroom plan.
- Ensure one stepping product moved for the day before leaving the location.
- If applicable, the team is responsible for:
- Painting, pressure washing, changing light bulbs, etc.
- Restroom deep cleaning must be completed once per week at each showroom visited.
- Showrooms are responsible for maintaining restrooms throughout the week.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: (The following qualifications can be acquired and demonstrated through experience, education, and/or vocational training as noted or as appropriate.)
Must have a clean Driving Record (MVR for the past 5 years)
Flexible Schedule (must be able to work weekends and holidays)
Willingness to learn: Motivated to gain furniture Industry knowledge and the ability to take on a leadership role within our company once tenure has been established.
Communication skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret our company’s documents; ability to build strong relationships with your peers, management team, customers, and other departments within our organization.
Computer skills: Ability to work with our G.E.R.S. program and be comfortable with spreadsheets and database software applications.
Problem-solving skills: Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; develop alternative solutions; work well in group problem solving situations
Safety and Security skills: Ability to observe safety and security procedures; report potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly. Ability to multitask and attention to detail is crucial.
The ability to complete our MOR University program.
Delivery experience is preferred but not required.
Furniture assembly is preferred but not required.
Minimum 21 years of age.
