Seasonal Retail Inventory Associate - Part-Time
Description

Chalet is a fourth generation, family owned retailer that has served our community for over 100 years. We sell a variety of products including outdoor plants, indoor plants, garden products, outdoor furniture, home and holiday decorations, and pet food/supplies.


We have an opportunity for new team members who like to work both outside and inside in a physical job. With our busy season gearing up and inventory projects increasing on multiple teams, it's possible you may work in Inventory Support, Fulfillment, Receiving, or other areas. You’ll primarily be responsible for ensuring that products are organized and available to our customers.


Possible responsibilities include:

  • Stocking firewood, soil, fertilizer, and other outdoor products.
  • Replenish Garden Shop products as directed by supervisor - with correct facing and always rotating stock.
  • Assist in unloading, pricing and receiving inventory.
  • Help with plant care (both indoors and outdoors) including watering and pruning.
  • Flexibility to work on other projects around the store or nursery if needed, like filling online orders.
  • Keep merchandise and displays clean, organized and fresh.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • We're looking for helpful, hardworking and accountable people who can lift at least 40 pounds (75 pounds ideally) and can work at least 3 days per week (including 1 shift on a weekend day).
  • Previous retail or warehouse experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems and Microsoft Excel is a plus.
  • Ability to work varied hours and/or days as the needs of our seasonal business dictates. We're open typically 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. We're happy to accommodate school schedules.
