Description

The Vice President of Membership is a high-impact leadership role that combines driving membership sales with coaching and developing the sales team. With a focus on a 70% sales-driven approach and 30% retention, this role is pivotal in executing strategies that accelerate membership growth and enhance engagement across all Gravity Haus locations. 


As a player-coach, the VP of Membership will lead by example in acquiring and nurturing members while also mentoring and guiding the team to exceed sales targets. This role requires a dynamic leader who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and inspire the membership team to meet their full potential, ensuring a premium experience that aligns with Gravity Haus' mission. The VP of Membership will work closely with local property teams to strengthen member relationships, enhance membership offerings, and drive brand loyalty.


What You’ll Do


Membership Growth & Acquisition

  • Lead and execute aggressive sales strategies to achieve membership revenue targets and company objectives.
  • Own the entire membership lifecycle, focusing 70% on direct sales efforts—prospecting, closing, onboarding, and driving new applications and renewals.
  • Develop and implement innovative sales plans to attract members that align with Gravity Haus’ target demographic.
  • Collaborate with property-level Membership Team Members to ensure local outreach efforts result in an engaged, diverse, and dynamic membership base.
  • Drive direct sales through lead acquisition, strategic outreach, and partnerships, including local events, influencer relationships, and regional promotions.
  • Set and exceed new membership acquisition and renewal goals, ensuring consistent pipeline growth and retention success.

Sales, Leadership, & Team Development.

  • Lead, coach, and mentor the Membership Team, emphasizing a player-coach model where you demonstrate strong sales leadership while developing the team’s skills and performance.
  • Provide clear sales goals, performance metrics, and professional development opportunities to drive a high-performance culture within the team.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure an integrated and exceptional member experience, driving sales through seamless operations.
  • Hold regular team training and coaching sessions to improve individual and team sales performance.

Sales Operations and Performance Management

  • Oversee all aspects of sales operations, including forecasting, budgeting, pipeline management, and sales analytics.
  • Leverage CRM systems and other sales tools to streamline processes, track sales activities, and drive efficiency.
  • Monitor sales performance against targets and KPIs, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Membership Experience & Retention

  • Oversee membership engagement strategies, ensuring members feel valued and connected.
  • Monitor member behavior, satisfaction, and feedback, addressing concerns proactively to drive long-term retention.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and operations teams to ensure seamless communication and member support.

Community Engagement & Partnerships

  • Establish Gravity Haus as the premier lifestyle membership for target demographic.
  • Oversee the development of relationships and partnerships with key influencers, industry leaders, and local businesses to drive awareness and engagement.
  • Partner with regional teams to create location-specific initiatives that enhance the member experience.
  • Act as a key ambassador for Gravity Haus, ensuring strong connections with members and the broader community.

Performance Tracking & Strategy Implementation

  • Define sales targets, quotas and metrics to measure performance and effectiveness of sales initiatives.
  • Utilize data analytics to track membership trends, retention rates, and engagement levels.
  • Develop insights-driven strategies to optimize membership offerings and improve overall performance.
  • Regularly assess competitive market trends and implement best practices to enhance membership growth.

Who You are:

  • Proven sales leadership experience in membership-driven organizations, hospitality, or lifestyle brands.
  • A highly skilled networker with strong relationship-building capabilities within the outdoor, travel, and wellness communities.
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to execute and drive results through a focus on sales, coaching, and team performance.
  • Passionate about the Gravity Haus mission, with an authentic understanding of the adventure lifestyle.
  • A natural communicator with excellent leadership, coaching, and project management skills.
  • Able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with flexibility to attend evening and weekend events as needed.

Location: This position is Colorado-based, with travel to Gravity Haus locations as required.

$120,000-$140,000 plus incentive plan
