Description

The Clinical Psychologist will be responsible for conducting diagnostic testing for families seeking service to help support those considering treatment options for suspected neurodevelopmental disorders. 


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct diagnostic evaluations for children aged 2-6, with suspected ASD, implementing the ADOS-2, CARS-2, along with other relevant assessment tools. 
  • Drafting of thorough diagnostic reports to meet requirement by insurance payors. 
  • Review of diagnostic findings with families to recommend appropriate services. 
  • Some travel may be required to perform in-person assessments within region. 
  • Coordination of evaluations, schedules, and waitlist needs with the outreach and team and the Sr. Director of Diagnostic Assessment 
  • Ongoing education in best practice as it relates to ASD evaluations, diagnostic testing tools, and how they can be implemented across Lighthouse.
Requirements
  • Licensed Psychologist.  Prefer licensure in North Carolina, Nebraska, North Carolina
  • PSYPACT license   
  • Doctoral level degree in psychology (PhD/PsyD) or equivalent experience required 
  • Endorsed HSPP (Health Service Provider in Psychology) per state requirement
  • Has successfully passed the Examination for Professional Practice in Psychology (EPPP)
  • Experience in ADOS-2 and other diagnostic testing specific to autism spectrum disorders 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Family and parent friendly approach to service provision 
  • Must be physically able to work with children as assessments require
