Job Purpose/ Summary:
The Director of Sales is responsible for leading and managing a team of sales professionals to drive revenue growth and ensure the successful renewal and expansion of Single Digits’ services in the Multi-Dwelling Unit (MDU) industry. This role involves developing and executing strategic sales plans, fostering trusted relationships with key decision-makers, and positioning Single Digits as a market leader. The Director of Sales will mentor, coach, and support sales team members, ensuring high performance and alignment with company objectives.
Job Duties/ Responsibilities:
Leadership & Sales Team Management:
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sales professionals to achieve and exceed individual and team sales targets.
• Provide coaching, training, and performance management to enhance sales effectiveness.
• Establish clear sales objectives and ensure alignment with company goals.
• Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, providing regular reports to senior leadership.
• Foster a high-performance culture by promoting accountability, motivation, and professional growth within the sales team.
Sales Strategy & Execution:
• Must have existing relationships in the MDU industry that can generate immediate results.
• Proven experience with 40+% YoY revenue growth
• Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth through both new and existing MDU customers.
• Identify and capitalize on market opportunities, expanding Single Digits’ presence in the MDU industry.
• Maintain a rhythm of engagement with key decision-makers and influencers to secure renewals and new contracts.
• Ensure effective sales planning, pipeline management, and forecasting within Salesforce.com to meet or exceed revenue goals.
• Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align sales efforts with company initiatives and customer needs.
Customer & Market Engagement:
• Build and maintain strong, long-term business relationships with MDU technology buyers and key stakeholders.
• Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and present tailored technology solutions that align with their business objectives.
• Deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals that position Single Digits as a trusted provider of managed network services and SaaS solutions.
• Represent Single Digits at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings to strengthen market presence and drive business growth.
• Stay up to date on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to enhance sales strategies.
Job Requirements and Qualifications
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Experience:
• 5+ years of experience in sales leadership with a proven track record of success in technology, telecommunications, or managed network services sales.
• Experience managing, coaching, and developing a team of sales professionals.
• Strong background in strategic account management and executive relationship building
Licenses, Certifications, and Screenings:
• Upon hire, must pass background screen to include employment history, college education, and license/certification verifications, and criminal check.
Knowledge:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Salesforce.com.
• Knowledge of Wi-Fi, wireless technologies, SaaS solutions, and managed network services.
• Strong business acumen with an understanding of financial drivers in the MDU and technology industries.
