Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in managing and maintaining AWS-based infrastructure
  • Upgrade instances to the latest Linux OS version
  • Support automation tasks using scripts (e.g., Bash, Python, or Terraform)
  • Participate in software updates, patching, and security compliance checks
  • Document system configurations and processes
  • Review some of AEM’s AWS EBS storage and identify opportunities for downsizing
Requirements

  

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Good understanding of cloud infrastructure, especially with AWS services
  • Familiarity with operating systems (Linux and Windows)
  • Good scripting knowledge
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills, time management and attention to detail
  • Highly motivated, self-starter and with strong organizational skills

Experience to be Gained:

  • Hands-on experience in AWS services for infrastructure management
  • Practical knowledge of cloud networking, virtual machines, storage, and security configurations
  • Experience in automating tasks using scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell
  • Collaborating with DevOps, security, and IT teams on cloud projects
  • Learning cost optimization strategies to manage cloud resource efficiency
  • Develop communication skills by interacting directly with users from various departments

Additional Information

  • Paid Internship – hourly rate dependent on class status
  • Full time Summer 2025
  • This is a remote opportunity that can be done from anywhere in the continental United States and/or Canada 
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization. F-1 visa holders with Optional Practical Training (OPT) who will require H-1B status, TNs, or current H-1B visa holders will not be considered. H1-B and green card sponsorship is not available for this position.

This position is not eligible for benefits. 


US Compensation Range: A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $16.75 - $21.50 per hour. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. AEM considers a wide range of factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education, licensure and certifications, key skills as well as other market and business considerations when extending an offer. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
