As a cashier, you will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service while handling transactions, taking orders, and ensuring guests have a smooth and pleasant dining experience. Requirements
- Greet customers warmly, answer questions about menu items, and assist them in placing their orders.
- Accurately process cash, credit card, and other payment transactions using the POS system.
- Efficiently take customer orders for dine-in and takeout, ensuring accuracy and timely communication with the kitchen staff.
- Be familiar with our menu offerings, including Vietnamese dishes such as pho, banh mi, and spring rolls, and provide recommendations to customers.
- Completion of opening, ongoing, and closing checklists is required.
- Carry out both routine and detailed cleaning tasks using approved cleaning products to ensure strict compliance with health and safety standards.
- Keep the cashier station and dining area clean, organized, and compliant with food safety regulations.
- Help with light food prep, packaging takeout orders, and ensuring that all supplies (e.g., napkins, utensils) are stocked at the front counter.
- Ensure all items are properly returned to their designated places. Clean, sanitize, and organize all work and storage areas, including freezers and coolers. Additionally, empty and re-line all trash containers.
- Responsible for stocking coolers with products and ensuring all displays are well-organized and visually appealing.
- Pour draft and craft beverages. Additional bartending training available.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience in a cashier, customer service, or retail position preferred.
- Ability to handle transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with diverse customers.
- Ability to work well with kitchen staff and other team members in a fast-paced environment.
- Punctual and reliable, with the flexibility to work shifts that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, due to airport hours.
- OLCC serving permit and Food Handlers cards required before start of work
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods, typically 6–8 hours per shift.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs for stocking supplies or moving small items
- Occasional bending and stooping to reach for items or assist with cleaning.
- Frequent reaching across the counter to assist customers and handle transactions.
- Ability to move around the front counter and dining area to assist customers, stock items, and keep the area clean.
