Job Title: Clubhouse Manager (Full-Time, Year-Round)


Job Summary

The Clubhouse Manager is directly responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the clubhouse, ensuring an exceptional member experience, event management and planning, and maintaining the highest standards of service. This role involves managing food and beverage services, staff supervision, event coordination, and facility upkeep while upholding the club’s culture and traditions. This position reports to the General Manager. 


Essential Duties/Responsibilities


Member Services & Experience:

  • Ensure an exceptional member and guest experience through high-quality service and hospitality while addressing member concerns, inquiries, and special requests in a professional and timely manner.
  • Foster a welcoming and engaging atmosphere throughout the clubhouse.
  • Informs General Manager and Executive Chef of constructive criticism, member dissatisfaction, and staff problems immediately. Communicates positive staff accomplishments and member praise with equal urgency.

Food & Beverage Management:

  • Oversee all food and beverage operations, including dining rooms, bars, and banquet services.
  • Work closely with the Executive Chef to maintain menu quality and service standards.
  • Monitor food and beverage inventory, purchasing, and cost controls to optimize profitability.

Staff Management & Training:

  • Hire, train, and supervise clubhouse staff, including all dining room servers, bartenders, and receptionists/hosts.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct performance reviews and implement training programs to maintain high service standards.

Event & Banquet Coordination:

  • Plan, organize, and execute private events for members and guests.
  • Collaborate with the HR/Club Events Manager and other departments to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and external service providers.

Facility & Operations Management:

  • Ensure the clubhouse and all related facilities are clean, well-maintained, and up to club standards.
  • Work with maintenance and housekeeping team to oversee room and event setups throughout the clubhouse.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and liquor licensing regulations.

Financial & Administrative Duties:

  • Assist in budget preparation, expense tracking, and financial reporting for clubhouse operations.
  • Implement cost-control measures while maintaining service quality.
  • Develop and enforce club policies, procedures, and operational standards.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, financial management, and inventory control.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in food and beverage operations, event planning, and staff management.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

Work Environment & Schedule:

  • Requires a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on club activities.
  • Physical requirements include standing for long periods, lifting up to 25 lbs, and moving between various clubhouse areas.

Standing Committee Assignments:

  • House Committee staff liaison 
  • Welcome to attend meetings of other Club committees upon request

Education/Experience/Certifications

  • College degree and/or equivalent
  • Progressive management and leadership experience of 3+ years
