Description

Summary:

Entry level position with expectations of forward advancement. Required to learn all operating systems and familiarization of campus layout. Often assigned to fellow team member for training purposes. On call shifts will be required.

Requirements

Education, Training or Certifications Required:

  1. Must be a High School/GED graduate.
  2. Must have a valid driver's license


Experience Required:

Some experience in maintenance field preferred but not required


Special Requirements:


Cognitive Requirements:

  1. Must be emotionally mature and to be able to accept constructive criticism.
  2. Must be able to work well with others as a lot of tasks will require multiple people to assist in completion.


Physical Demands:

  1. Ability to be on feet most of the day.
  2. Ability to lift, pull and push equipment.
  3. Ability to stoop and reach.
  4. Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
  5. Adequate vision and manual skills.
  6. Ability to work on roof or other high places such as ladders.


Environment:

  1. May be exposed to the following hazards: needles or other sharp objects, asbestos, hazardous chemicals, dust, fumes from solvents, oil, paints or other materials, welding fumes, extreme changes in temperature, high voltage, biohazards and other job-related items.
  2. May be required to perform maintenance tasks in room occupied by patients.
  3. May be required to perform maintenance tasks in very noisy areas.
