We are looking for an Employee Community Support Coordinator who will actively contribute to our mission by organizing and supporting a variety of employee community-building events and initiatives. This part-time role (20 hours/week) will focus on fostering an environment of collaboration, community, and continuous improvement. The Employee Community Support Coordinator will provide direct support to our employees, that aligns with the mission and values of Sky Resorts, especially during times of need, helping with resources, planning events, and ensuring that employees feel supported and valued.
Key Responsibilities
1. Community Engagement & Events
- Plan and coordinate employee events (team lunches, wellness activities, celebrations, volunteer opportunities).
- Foster authentic connections and an inclusive workplace culture.
- Ensure events align with Sky Resorts' values of Collaboration, Community, and Continuous Improvement.
2. Employee Support & Resources
- Assist employees in navigating challenges, including wellness, mental health, and local resource connections.
- Conduct wellness check-ins to maintain a supportive work environment.
- Organize educational classes on topics like parenting, nutrition, and budgeting.
- (Optional) Support homeschooling families by providing resources and community activities.
3. Communication & Recognition
- Foster open dialogue where employees feel heard and valued.
- Seek and implement feedback on community-building efforts.
- Recognize and celebrate birthdays, milestones, and employee achievements.
4. Support During Life Challenges
- Provide care and assistance during illness, family matters, or personal difficulties.
- Coordinate with HR and the SR Cares Committee to ensure employees receive needed support.
Qualifications
- Experience in event planning, community engagement, or employee support.
- Strong communication skills (listening, support, and clear articulation).
- Empathy and compassion to approach sensitive topics with care.
- Strong organizational skills to plan and execute initiatives effectively.
- Team-oriented, proactive, and familiar with local resources (a plus).
