Part Time Cook
Description

Hillside Boutique Hotel is seeking a dedicated and passionate Part Time Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will assist in preparing and cooking a variety of dishes while maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation. Where you can make an impact:

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and portioning.
  • Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands and guest expectations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Monitor food quality during preparation and cooking to ensure flavor and presentation meet resort standards.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to create seasonal menus and specials, providing input on new dishes.
  • Assist with inventory management, including receiving and storing food products and reporting any shortages.
  • Support kitchen operations by cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive and collaborative kitchen atmosphere.


Requirements

Education/Formal Training:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in hospitality management preferred.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in a front desk or customer service role preferred.
  • Familiarity with property management systems is a plus.

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a passion for providing outstanding service.
  • Ability to handle cash and process transactions accurately.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including MS Office and reservation software.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.


Salary Description
$15/hour
