The Denver Waldorf School (DWS) is seeking a warm, organized, and detail-oriented Main Office Assistant to join our dedicated faculty and staff. As a vital part of our school community, this role serves as the central hub of the main office, providing essential support to students, parents, and staff while ensuring daily operations run smoothly.
The Denver Waldorf School is a friendly and lively urban K-12 school with 300 students located in Denver, Colorado with the splendor of the Rocky Mountains just a short trip away. Founded in 1974, we are a fully accredited full member school of the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America, the Waldorf Early Childhood Association and the Association of Colorado Independent Schools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a welcoming and professional first point of contact for visitors, families, and staff.
- Answer phones, manage front desk operations, and monitor entryways.
- Provide compassionate care for students, including administering medication and tending to injuries or illnesses.
- Maintain accurate records and assist with data entry.
- Support the daily administrative functions of the office with efficiency and attention to detail.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience working in a school or child-centered environment preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a dynamic setting.
- Accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Friendly, professional demeanor with a commitment to exceptional customer service.

Working Hours:
This is a part-time, hourly position beginning August 11, 2025, and continuing through May 29, 2026. The schedule follows the school calendar, with workdays aligning with days when school is in session, in addition to back to school meetings in August. Hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
