The Donation Attendant provides excellent customer service, maintains a clean, safe, and pleasant work environment, and implements the Company’s mission and goals while working in an accurate and efficient manner to reduce waste, improve sales and reduce expenses.

What You Will Do:
- Establish partnerships with donors to ensure a continuous flow of goods.
- Proper logging of donor counts daily including proper logging of all e-waste Donations.
- Offer tax receipts to donors and assist in unloading donations.
- Handle goods and equipment properly to avoid damage or breakage.
- Assist drivers in loading / unloading of goods or equipment.
- Communicate needed reports and information in a timely manner.
- Sort and label goods by category and place in proper containers or equipment.
- Separate high-end goods, computer and computer accessory and place in proper equipment.
- Fill out needed production and inventory reports.
- Stack donated goods neatly and safely.
- Perform basic arithmetical calculations including addition, subtraction, division and multiplication.
- Hand out marketing materials to donors.
- Greet donors and provide information about Goodwill’s donation policy, mission and programs.
- Maintain clean housekeeping around donation area (about 50 ft. radius).
- Assist supervisor in providing on the job training to new staff, participants, clients and volunteers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Bring to The Role:
- Retail and customer service experience preferred.
- Must be able to read and write English proficiently or have enrolled in and are on track to successfully complete an approved ESL program.
- Demonstrate math and or accounting skills.
- Must be familiar or gain familiarity with cashiering system.
- Must be able to stand on hard surfaces for an extended period.
- Ability to work in diverse public.
- Must be able to lift at minimum 35 lbs.
- Must have a flexible schedule including holidays, evenings, and weekends; schedules may change based on business needs.
