Product Designer

Description

 The product designer will ensure product and design strategy is executed while contributing to the user-centric design of our products and the areas of our company where customers, partners and employees interact with ALTR. 


Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: 

Provide User Centered Design 

  • Apply user centered design principles in alignment with product roadmap requirements and initiatives. 
  • Iterate on the ALTR product design by creating new wireframes, prototypes, and final design mockups. 
  • Ensure all designs follow WCAG standards and human centered design best practices 

Wire-framing and Prototyping 

  • Create wireframes and interactive prototypes to communicate design concepts related to product features and enhancements.
  • Work with the PMs to solicit feedback on the prototypes and iterate on designs based on this feedback, product analytics, stakeholder interviews and requirements 

Cross-functional Collaboration 

  • Work closely with product management and engineering to ensure integration of the design system and designed solutions into the development process 
  • Incorporate insights into the design process 
  • Champion user centered design principles and methodologies throughout the product development lifecycle 
  • Work with the UX and extended product team to review other designs and features to ensure a consistent high standard 

Customer and User Research 

  • Work with Product management and go to market teams to identify and build a pool of market resources to be used for usability testing and user feedback. 
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with users and customers while getting invaluable feedback on new and existing designs and UX. 

Design Documentation 

  • Produce design documentation, including design specifications, style guides and design assets for development teams. 
  • Maintain and update design documentation consistent with the design system as needed. 

Design for the entire customer journey 

  • Integration of design principles into product documentation, company website, online videos and sales and marketing related assets promoting our products. 



Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of working experience
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent training
  • Figma, Jira, Confluence, Outlook, and Slack will be used regularly
  • Excellent communication, organizational and project management skills required

  • Travel: Willingness to travel for conferences, company, and customer meetings.
  • Reliable Connectivity: Must have access to dependable internet and phone services.
  • Time Zone: Must be willing and able to work EST

At ALTR, we are committed to providing competitive salaries in line with market standards. Our estimated compensation range for this position is $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 but the final salary will be based on your relevant skills, experience and qualifications demonstrated in the hiring process. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, and business need.
