Description
The Educational Planner will be responsible for business development, marketing strategy, and consultation with project teams regarding educational facilities. This position will support the efforts of WRA’s marketing and educational planning team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with developing marketing goals and strategies while ensuring alignment with broader business goals.
- Leveraging knowledge of the field of education to build relationships with clients.
- Consulting with project teams to connect organizational goals and design of educational facilities.
- Overseeing critical marketing functions, including market research, client interviews, team communications, new client relationships, event attendance, and sponsorship planning.
- Developing operational processes and policies to streamline decision-making and promote collaboration between marketing functions across WRA offices.
- Monitoring and controlling budgets, resources, and teams to implement and execute short-term and long-term marketing initiatives.
Essential Functions:
- Strategic Planning – Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with company goals, encompassing client relationships, client interviews, events/sponsorships, and brand marketing.
- Market Research – Conduct market analysis to identify target clients, understand competitor landscape, and inform marketing strategy. Track key marketing metrics and analyze campaign performance to identify areas for optimization and improvement.
- Client Relations - Seek to understand and communicate the unique needs of each client, with internal and external audiences. Support preparation for and participate in conversations with district leaders and board members throughout the bond planning and design process.?
- Client Resource - Work with clients and team to connect organizational goals with design of learning spaces. Applies previous education experience, knowledge of school funding and/or district budgeting, knowledge of current concerns of school leaders across communities.
- Staff Development - Provide internal learning opportunities to enhance staff understanding of how design affects student learning and operations.?
- Collaboration – Work closely with Director of Marketing (TX), Director of Educational Planning, Director of Business Development, and other team members to align marketing efforts with overall business objectives.
- Communication – Effectively communicate marketing strategies, plans, and results to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Team Building - Ensures availability to staff, leads and participates in team building to build rapport with individuals, encourages strong collaborative relationships between individuals and departments, solicits and applies feedback, and offers self-improvement to staff.
- Adaptability - Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.
- Travel - Regional travel as needed, attendance and participation in related conferences, and travel to Texas as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Advanced Skill:
- Microsoft Suite: Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint
- Google Suite
- Project management platforms such as Monday, Asana, Wrike, or similar
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Education, Marketing, or Business Development.
- Minimum of ten (10) years work experience in related education field, with at least five (5) of those years in a leadership/management role.
- Proven ability to build and maintain partnerships and solid working relationships with key stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Must be able to think strategically and view the business from a general management standpoint.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to make formal presentations in front of large audiences as needed.
- Ability to operate in fast-paced, dynamic environment, handle adversity and frequent change, and balance workload with multiple and competing priorities.
- Customer-service focus, with demonstrated experience dealing successfully with front-line internal and external customers.
Preferred
- Experience in education and related marketing/communications preferred
- Master’s Degree
