The Material Handler will assist with various material handling duties in the distribution center such as picking, packing, shipping and receiving.

1. Prepare LTL and TL freight and parcel shipments.

2. Pick, pack and ship sample orders accurately and in timely manner.

3. Use a stand up or reach forklift to transport pallets to warehouse locations.

4. Use stand-up or sit-down forklift to receive and put away stock and samples and load and unload containers.

5. Use scissors lift to assist with inventory counts.

6. Operate roll cutting machine and other tools.

7. Assist in cross-training of employees in order picking, stocking and packing.

8. Utilize RF Computer for system transactions.

9. Utilize shipping software (UPS Worldship, Fedex Ship Manager.)

10. General housekeeping and 5S responsibilities include, but are not limited to sweeping, vacuuming, dusting and organizing storage and work area.

1. High School diploma or equivalent.

2. One year of work experience in warehouse/distribution operations

3. Experience in picking and packaging of material.

4. Forklift experience/certification or willingness to be trained within 3 months.

5. Scissors Lift or Order picker experience preferred.

6. Experience with shipping software a plus.

7. Good communication skills.

Hourly Rate:  $20 - $22.50 hourly + hourly premium

The base salary for this position may vary based on factors such as location, training, skills, and relevant experience. This position may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, incentive, or commissions. Bonus or incentive programs are subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
