Ready to capture the magic of camp and lead creative programs? YMCA Camp Abnaki is looking for an Arts & Media Specialist to document the summer experience through photography, video, and social media while managing the Arts & Crafts program. You’ll work closely with staff and campers to create stunning visuals, share memories, and inspire creativity. If you’re ready to snap photos, lead fun art projects, and help bring the camp experience to life, this is the role for you!
The contract for this position is from June 5 through August 16. Possibilities of pre-season and post-season work are also available.

What You'll Do:
- Capture & Share: Photograph, video, and archive key camp moments, including activities, cabin life, meals, and special events. Edit and upload media to UltraCamp for parents to access.
- Create & Post Content: Manage social media, creating engaging posts and developing end-of-session slideshows to celebrate camp milestones.
- Lead Arts & Crafts: Develop lesson plans and lead art projects, ensuring all supplies and equipment are organized and maintained. Assist with other camp programming needs.
- Organize & Document: Keep a well-organized digital archive of all camp media and create an Opening Day Newsletter.
- Support & Supervise: Assist with camper supervision during key times and support counselors as needed. Participate in staff training and respond appropriately to emergency situations.
- Stay Engaged & Alert: Actively engage with campers and staff, ensuring that all activities are running smoothly and safely.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong photography, videography, multimedia editing, and organizational skills.
- Experience teaching Arts & Crafts, with the ability to guide and mentor others.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Professionalism, independence, and a passion for working in a camp environment.
- Must be able to reside at camp for the summer.
