The HR Administrator is an entry-level position responsible for assisting with employee relations that includes concerns and events, unemployment claims, investigations, and providing payroll support as needed.


Education/Certification(s):

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

Required Experience for HR Administrator:

  • 1 or more years of office experience focusing in Human Resources

Requirements for HR Administrator:

  • Demonstrated ability for discretion when dealing with confidential information
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; especially critical conversations
  • Ethical decision-making ability
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple departments
  • Customer service aptitude with both internal and external customers
  • Able to multi-task effectively and work independently
  • Resourceful and proactive in finding solutions
  • Strong administrative experience, experience working with HR Information System preferred

HR Administrator duties include but are not limited to:

  • Unemployment claims processing
  • Assist with Federal, State and Canadian compliance requirements
  • Company disciplinary action coordinator
  • Assist HR team with employee engagement, company sponsored functions, etc.
  • Conduct employment investigations
  • Leverage Paylocity technology to support better HR processes, including providing back up Payroll support
  • Initiative to aid with international research and data collection
  • Provide additional administrative support throughout all areas of HR
