Summary
Employee will possess the ability to keep accurate records and understand physical inventory management. Coordinates and processes raw material to print specification utilizing saw and/or plasma cutting. Will handle all associated paperwork and necessary communications with Quality, Purchasing, Engineering, Fabrication, Assembly and other classifications.
Essential Functions
- Verifies and keeps records on incoming shipments of raw material.
- Compares identifying information, verifies physical dimensions, and processes incoming raw materials.
- Unloads, unpacks and examines incoming shipments. Rejects damaged items, records shortages, and interfaces with Purchasing processes to rectify damages and shortages.
- Interfaces with Quality Manager in regard to initiation and resolution of Non-Conformity Reports (NCR) as required.
- Interfaces with Quality Manager in regard to review and storage of material records such as Receiving Inspection Report, Material Cert’s, etc.…
- Manage raw material in physical and electronic warehouse.
- Operates saw(s) and/or Plasma machines in processing of Raw Material.
- Discharges inventory/material from the warehouse to fabrication/assembly floor for consumption.
- Maintains complete and accurate records.
- Operates forklift trucks, overhead cranes, and other powered material handling and transport equipment.
- Must be willing to participate in specialized training as assigned by supervisory personnel.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- Additional work hours as needed.
- Understands and complies with requirements of the QMS, AS9100, and/or ISO 9001.
1. Must demonstrate knowledge of receiving procedures.
2. Must be able to read simple cut sheets and fabrication drawings.
3. Must demonstrate proficiency in use of measuring instruments, tape measure, caliper, etc.
4. Perform accurate and complete record-keeping.
5. Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
6. Keep working area clean and organized.
7. Skill in communicating information and ideas, both verbally and in writing.
8. Competence in computer applications.
Preferred
1. Experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100.
2. Experience with Inventory management software, SAP, EPICOR (preferred) or equivalent.
3. Basic knowledge of material types such as, carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, plastics, etc.
