Position: After-School Program Aide
Reports to: After School Program Director
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Job Status: Part-time
The After-School Program operates separately from the regular school day and educational program at Adventure Christian School. The After-School Program Aide shall always strive to understand, appreciate, love, and serve alongside the teacher. Furthermore, they will assist in maintaining and appropriate learning environment and providing age-appropriate activities and contribute his/her talents to create an excellent program and positive experience in the after-school hours for Adventure Christian School students.
Job Duties
- Responsible for taking direction and supervision from the After-School Program Director.
- Support the After-School Program Director in utilizing effective classroom and instructional management techniques where needed or as directed.
- Reflect a Christ-like spirit in dealing with student-teacher and student-student relationships.
- Arrive punctually and attend all duties, programs, and meetings that are scheduled by administration.
- Maintain effective communication with the teacher, students, parents, team members, faculty, office staff, and administration.
- Actively support and maintain safety standards, training, and an ongoing safety program, resulting in a safe and healthy work and school environment.
- Responsible for constant supervision of the children in the classroom and on the playground for their safety and welfare.
Qualifications:
- 6 ECE units, or equivalent experience desired.
- Must pass a pre-employment reference and background screen.
- Proof of legal authorization to work in the United States.
