Description
Black Diamond Equipment is looking to hire a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate to work at our Outlet Store in West Valley, UT. This person must have a flexible schedule and be willing to work anywhere from 10-20 hours per week depending on store needs.

The Retail Associate’s primary responsibility is to ensure a positive and interactive customer experience by providing exceptional guest service as part of a cohesive team. The ideal candidate will represent Black Diamond with pride, productivity, and professionalism while adhering to policies and remaining accountable at all times, working diligently to maintain the operational and merchandising standards of the company.


Essential Duties:

  1. Assist customers with appropriate information, advice and service.
  2. Accurate entry of merchandise, payments and customer details in the Point of Sale (POS) system.
  3. Resolve issues involving customer relations and satisfaction.
  4. Maintain store’s clean, organized appearance.
  5. Restocking and managing back stock including lifting boxes of gear.
  6. Open and close the store in the absence of store manager or assistant store manager.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Education:

  • Required: High School Diploma

Work Experience:

  • Required: Previous customer service experience.
  • Preferred: 6 months - 1 year retail sales in an outdoor specialty store. Knowledge of Black Diamond Equipment gear and apparel is a plus.

Skills and general experience:

  • Excellent customer relation skills, knowledge of POS systems, typing, merchandising, product knowledge, self-motivated, knowledge of and/or participation in climbing, back-country skiing and mountaineering.
