As a Journeyman Electrician, you will lead a crew under the guidance of a Master Electrician to supervise the installation, alteration, addition and/or repair of electrical systems on commercial work sites. The ideal candidate should work from a position of “Safety First Always” and utilize all safety equipment and training provided to ensure compliance with OSHA and other safety regulations.

Requirements
Core Responsibilities:
- Ensure commercial electrical systems are installed, maintained, and repaired safely & efficiently
- Read & interpret blueprints to plan & layout electrical systems
- Utilize hand tools safely & effectively for various tasks related to building and maintaining electrical systems
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and codes during all electrical work
- Coordinate with other tradespeople and contractors for seamless project integration and completion of projects on time
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using tools such as an ohmmeter and other diagnostic equipment
- Maintain detailed documentation for future reference
- Perform other project related duties assigned by General Contractor or other senior Electrician
Essential Skills:
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and a solid understanding of electrical principles and concepts per the National Electric Code (NEC)
- Extensive knowledge and experience in electrical systems, with the ability to work on high voltage installations and renovations
- Ability to accept constructive criticism, follow directions and collaborate effectively as part of a team
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and a commitment to safety
Desired Qualifications:
- Must pass a drug screen
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid TDLR Journeyman License
- At least 2 years Commercial Electrical Experience preferred
- Have own hand tools; we will provide specialty tools
