Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer (MFG 2)
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer (MFG 2) to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide shop floor support and address engineering design corrections. This includes working with CNC tooling, reviewing and correcting Bills of Materials (BoM), technical drawings, and designs. The ideal candidate will be able to track, organize, and manage instances of engineering changes, ensuring timely resolution and completion.
In addition to shop floor support, the Manufacturing Engineer will be involved in manufacturing workflow analysis, product testing, and the creation of work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure efficient and effective manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering support on the shop floor, ensuring smooth operations and timely resolution of design-related issues.
- Review and correct technical drawings, Bills of Materials (BoM), and CNC tooling programs.
- Track and manage engineering instances from identification through resolution, ensuring timely completion.
- Perform manufacturing workflow analysis to identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Conduct product testing to ensure quality and performance standards are met.
- Develop, write, and implement work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to guide manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturing processes align with design and production goals.
- Troubleshoot and provide technical support to production teams as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience in a related field, or 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or engineering role.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, particularly CNC machining and related tooling.
- Familiarity with CAD software and technical drawing interpretation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
