Job Title: Assistant Superintendent – Residential Home Construction


Founded in 2006, Bach Homes is a rapidly growing homebuilder that specializes in both single-family homes and multi-family apartment projects. Over the years, they have diversified and expanded adding divisions for an Excavation company, Property Management company, Land Development company, Home Furnishings company, and an Internet company.

Bach Homes is seeking a full-time Residential Assistant Superintendent to join our homes, Team. This is an on-site position and will not be performed remotely. The job is to be performed during normal business hours Monday through Friday.

Position Summary:

The Assistant Superintendent supports the Superintendent in overseeing daily on-site operations for residential home construction projects. This role ensures projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards. The Assistant Superintendent is a key liaison between subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and the project team.

  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing all on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and schedule requirements.
  • Support coordination and supervision of subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel.
  • Monitor job site cleanliness, organization, and safety standards.
  • Assist with daily job site inspections and enforce construction and safety policies.
  • Help track and report project progress, daily logs, and work completion in project management software (e.g., Buildertrend, Procore).
  • Maintain construction schedule with the ability to identify and solve issues
  • Assist with material deliveries, inventory tracking, and verifying installation per plans and specifications.
  • Communicate effectively with homeowners (if applicable), project team, and subcontractors to ensure job clarity and smooth workflow.
  • Report delays, potential risks, and any site issues to the Superintendent or Project Manager promptly.
  • Conduct walkthroughs and inspections to ensure quality assurance and punch list completion.
  • Help enforce company standards and expectations across subcontractors and labor crews.
  • Support jobsite scheduling, short-term planning, and sequencing of trades.
  • Perform labor duties as assigned

   

Requirements

  

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in residential construction or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of construction methods, materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Basic understanding of building codes and safety regulations (OSHA).
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in construction project management software (e.g., Buildertrend, Procore, MS Office Suite).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing job site conditions.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. 

  

Preferred Qualifications:

  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
  • Experience in single-family or multi-family home construction.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.
  • Technical or trade school background is a plus.

  

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time, on-site position; exposure to outdoor weather and typical construction site hazards.
  • Frequent walking, standing, and climbing on job sites.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
