Chisholm Chisholm & Kilpatrick (CCK), a nationally recognized law firm serving veterans, is hiring a Community Engagement Lead to expand our presence in the Atlanta community. This role is ideal for a self-starter with experience in public relations, nonprofit outreach, or community engagement.
This position will lead our local outreach strategy – building relationships with veteran-serving organizations, coordinating community events, and representing CCK at public forums.
This is a full-time, in-office position based in Atlanta, GA. Occasional evening or weekend events may be required; flexible scheduling is provided to accommodate those engagements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build and maintain relationships with veteran-serving organizations, nonprofit partners, and community stakeholders.
• Identify new outreach opportunities and propose strategies to strengthen CCK’s presence in the veteran community
• Represent CCK at local events, veteran resource fairs, community meetings, and sponsorship opportunities.
• Lead planning and execution of outreach programs such as webinars and community initiatives, including logistics, vendor coordination, and tracking attendance and engagement metrics for reporting purposes
• Coordinate media outreach by drafting press releases, building relationships with local reporters, and tracking coverage.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for external engagement opportunities and public-facing community efforts.
• Collaborate with the Marketing team to support outreach-related storytelling and content as needed.
• 5+ years of experience in community outreach, public relations, or nonprofit engagement, or related field.
• Strong public speaking skills and confidence engaging with diverse audiences in both formal and informal settings
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities with community partners and external stakeholders
• Experience planning and executing events, managing logistics, and representing an organization, and public events.
• Proven ability to work independently with strong decision-making skills and the ability to identify and act on opportunities for outreach and engagement
• Flexibility to attend occasional evening or weekend events (flex time provided)
• Passion for serving veterans or experience working with military-affiliated organizations is a plus
• Experience managing social media accounts and content writing would be nice to have

Additional Details:
• This role is required to report to our Atlanta, GA office daily.
• Work Schedule: This is a full-time position. This role will primarily work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM EST with a 30-minute lunch period. However, flexibility is required to attend occasional evening and weekend events. When event participation occurs outside regular hours, flex time will be provided.
