Lactalis is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Laboratory Manager to oversee daily Quality Control (QC) lab operations. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, this role ensures product safety and quality across raw materials, packaging, and finished goods while optimizing lab efficiency, maintaining compliance, and providing data-driven insights for continuous improvement.

From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include:

• Oversee all aspects of food safety and quality in alignment with plant procedures and Lactalis standards.
• Manage and develop the laboratory team, ensuring effective training and performance.
• Optimize QC laboratory operations, focusing on efficiency, analytical accuracy, and staff development.
• Establish sampling plans for raw materials, packaging, and finished products.
• Provide quality data and trend analysis to support continuous improvement in plant operations.
• Develop and validate methodologies to ensure process integrity and compliance.
• Implement and maintain a QC system based on Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), including performance KPIs.
• Support cross-functional collaboration by providing technical expertise in quality issue resolution and risk analysis.
• Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of all quality instruments.

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science or relevant laboratory experience in the dairy industry.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory analysis, with expertise in microbiology.
• Training in HACCP, SQF, and auditing functions; ability to serve as a backup contact for annual audits.
• Management experience preferred.
• Familiarity with the dairy industry is a plus.
• Proactive, responsible, and professional approach to work.
• Proven ability to lead and collaborate within a team environment.
• Adaptability to shifting priorities and a dynamic work environment.
• Strong organizational skills with meticulous record-keeping.
• Ability to work independently while following direction.
• Skilled in prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
