Description
- Responsible for greeting customers, scheduling appointments, receiving/routing telephone calls, verifying patient information, & collecting payments.
- Captures/records vital signs: blood pressure; weight; height; heart rate; temperature; respiration; O2 saturation.
- Updates patient medical history; weight changes; surgeries; medications; diagnoses; allergies; concerns; births; deaths; family medical history.
- Follows nursing process for assessments, planning, intervention, & evaluation, including physical/psychosocial needs of patients.
- Practices within scope/standards of care.
- Performs general nursing care; vital signs, immunizations, wound care, administration of medications/treatments, and assists with clinical procedures, under the supervision of the physician.
- Assists with clinical procedures: prepares instruments; seals/labels specimen samples; performs wound care including applying/removing bandages, cleansing, flushing, applying medication; suture removal; and immunizations.
- Other roles and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
Education/Experience:
- High School graduate or equivalency.
- Medical Assistant Certification/Registration and/or related experience required.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent communication/interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated computer skills.

Salary Description
$16 - $21 per hour - Depending on Experience
