Duties (summary): The Compounding Specialist is responsible for preparing customized allergy treatment medications, such as immunotherapy solutions, in a sterile and controlled environment. This role involves compounding allergen extracts tailored to individual patient prescriptions, ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards. The specialist collaborates with healthcare providers, maintains detailed records, and upholds strict quality control protocols to support patient care in allergy management.


Our Ideal Candidate: A detail-oriented and skilled professional with a background in pharmaceutical compounding, preferably in allergy immunotherapy. Proactive, organized, and capable of managing inventory and documentation with precision. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare providers and educate patients when needed. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, bringing a commitment to excellent patient care.


Skills and Qualifications: 

· Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to follow precise instructions. 

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and safety. 

· Excellent communication skills for interacting with healthcare providers and team members. 

· Good documentation practices. 

· Knowledge of allergen extracts, dilution techniques, and aseptic practices.

· Have a broad understanding of insurance eligibility and limitations as they apply to allergy and immunology 

· Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or similar credential preferred.
