Appleseed Community Mental Health Center is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Custodial/ Maintenance Specialist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance, custodial, and outdoor tasks to ensure our facility is well-maintained and clean year-round. The position is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM, totaling 20 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Complete custodial cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and maintaining cleanliness in all areas of the building.
- Perform general maintenance tasks to ensure the facility is in proper working condition (e.g., repairs, light plumbing, electrical work).
- Manage outdoor lawn care, including mowing, trimming, and maintaining landscaping.
- Ensure restrooms, common areas, and offices are cleaned and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Maintain and organize the supply closet to ensure easy access to materials.
- Maintain the cleanliness of outdoor areas.
- Assist with routine maintenance checks and report any issues or repairs needed.
- Travel between locations as needed (reliable transportation required).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Previous custodial or maintenance experience preferred but not required
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform physical tasks, including bending over and climbing a ladder
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Reliable transportation for travel between locations
