Loch Harbour Group seeks accomplished ISSO Engineers with expertise in coordinating and executing information security initiatives. These are bench hire positions, meaning the selected candidates will be hired in anticipation of future project needs and assigned to client work as opportunities arise. MUST LIVE IN THE WASHINGTON DC METRO AREA

Job Duties

Specific job-related responsibilities and tasks include:

• Provide support to plan, coordinate, and implement the organization's information security.
• Provide support for facilitating and helping agencies identify their current security infrastructure and define future programs, design and implementation of security related to IT systems.
• Oversee the efforts of security staff to design, develop, engineer and implement solutions to security requirements.
• Responsible for the implementation and development of the IT security. Gathers and organizes technical information about an organization's mission goals and needs, existing security products, and ongoing programs in the multi-level security (MLS) arena.
• Perform risk analyses and risk assessments.
• Provide support to plan, coordinate, and implement the organization's information security.
• Provide support for facilitating and helping agencies identify their current security infrastructure and define future programs, design and implementation of security related to IT systems.
• Perform complete security analysis and compliance review of all new IT Initiatives to include but not limited to information systems, hardware, and software. Perform Local Registration Authority duties for their respective lab site.
• Conduct IT security, awareness, and privacy training for all employees at the laboratories.
• Provide IT security subject matter expertise on all projects, purchases, and procedures to ensure acceptance from applicable stakeholders.
• Provide on-site security vulnerability testing/scanning for all current and future systems as required by the CISO and as needed for evaluation and development of ATO package.
• Perform all IT security tasks that are directed and required by the CISO.

 Bench Hire Information:

The positions are bench hire role, meaning the candidates will be brought on board in anticipation of upcoming contract needs. 

 Minimum Position Requirements:

• Ability to serve as Information System Security Officer.
• A working knowledge of several of the following areas is required: understanding of business security practices and procedures; knowledge of current security tools available; hardware/software security implementation; different communication protocols; encryption techniques/tools; familiarity with commercial products, and current Internet/EC technology.
• 7 or more years of experience performing information assurance audits, C&A and protective or corrective measures.

Required Education and Certifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification; and one of the following certifications below:
• Certified Authorization Professional (CAP) or
• CompTIA Security+ or
• CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) certification

Clearance Levels (any of the following for various contracts):

• Ability to obtain a Public Trust (U.S. Citizenship Required)
• Active Secret 
• Active Top Secret

Place of Performance

• Remote but candidates must reside in the Washington, DC Metro Area to be eligible.
