Job Summary
Responsible for answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, greeting and checking in patients, verifying and updating patient information with accuracy, handling insurance, deductibles and co-pays, while ensuring a friendly and professional demeanor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Schedule appointments
- Check in patients
- Verify and update patient information in the EHR system
- Collect co-pays and deductibles from patients at time of appointment
- Ability to work at any/all satellite locations
Skills and Qualifications
- 1-3 years medical office experience preferred
- Excellent customer service and strong communication skills
- Basic computer knowledge necessary; familiarity with electronic medical health care record systems beneficial
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
Performance Standards
Patient Service Representatives are expected to perform well in a team environment and to make the needs of our patients their number one priority. The ability to multi task and attention to detail is essential in this role. This position report directly to the Front Desk/Call Center Managers.
