We are currently seeking a dedicated and professional Class B Driver to join our team in Roanoke, TX.

Position Overview:
As a Class B Bobtail Driver at UNIS Transportation, you will be responsible for performing local deliveries and pick-ups in the Roanoke, TX. This role requires a safe, responsible, and customer-focused driver to transport goods efficiently while ensuring a high level of service to our customers. You will drive a bobtail truck, performing daily tasks that include handling deliveries, pick-ups, and maintaining the vehicle to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a Class B Bobtail truck for local deliveries and pick-ups in the Roanoke, TX area, ensuring timely and safe transport of goods.
• Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of items to prevent damage during transport.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bobtail truck to ensure safety and functionality.
• Provide excellent customer service by interacting with clients during pick-ups and deliveries, addressing questions, concerns, and ensuring satisfaction.
• Complete all required paperwork, including delivery receipts, pick-up confirmations, and logbooks.
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal driving laws, traffic regulations, and UNIS Transportation's safety standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized truck, ensuring it is ready for the next trip.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch to ensure timely deliveries and address any issues that arise.
• Report any vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or safety concerns to the supervisor immediately.
• Assist with the planning and coordination of routes to ensure fuel efficiency and timely deliveries.

Qualifications:

• Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience driving a bobtail truck and performing local deliveries and pick-ups.
• Strong knowledge of local roads, delivery processes, and safety regulations.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs as needed for loading and unloading.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to handle multiple tasks while maintaining focus on safety and quality.
• Ability to complete paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.

Schedule:

• Full-time position, Monday to Friday.
