Join our dynamic team as a Test Lab Manager, where you'll lead and innovate within our testing environment. You'll oversee laboratory operations, ensuring quality and efficiency in testing processes while fostering a collaborative and forward-thinking atmosphere. Your expertise will drive the development and implementation of testing protocols, contributing to our commitment to excellence and innovation.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the test lab to ensure efficient workflow and productivity.
  • Develop and implement testing protocols and procedures to qualify pump performance characteristics.
  • Manage and coordinate a team of test engineers and technicians, providing guidance and support.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards within the lab environment.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of testing equipment and supplies, coordinating maintenance and calibration.
  • Collaborate with product development teams to align testing activities with project timelines and goals.
  • Analyze test results, prepare detailed reports, and present findings to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance testing efficiency.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with external vendors and partners for specialized testing services.
  • Manage the lab's budget, including forecasting, expense tracking, and cost optimization.
  • Ensure proper documentation and archiving of all test data and results for future reference and audits.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for lab staff to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
  • Lead efforts in troubleshooting and resolving and issues or discrepancies in testing processes.
  • Coordinate with quality assurance teams to ensure seamless integration of testing outcomes into product evaluations.
  • Maintain NSF61 Product Compliance Program.
Requirements

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a testing or quality assurance role.
  • Proven experience in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and tools.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in project management and scheduling.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Experience with budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools (eg Microsoft Excel)
  • Knowledge of safety protocols within a lab environment.
  • Proficiency in using lab equipment and software.
