Position Summary

The Billing Compliance Analyst for the Appeals team is responsible for the accurate and timely tracking of invoice reductions and submission of appeals.


Duties & Responsibilities

· Review, research and respond to any rejections, appeals, short paid, etc.

· Works with attorneys and staff to ensure appeals/scrubs are process timely

· Reviews and verifies accuracy of billing and supporting documentation as required

· Undertakes special projects and ad hoc reports as needed/requested

· Maintain appeals process, spreadsheet, and write offs

· Review client guidelines and identify if adjustments are appealable

· May be required to upload appeal invoices and attachments to various electronic billing sites

· Takes a proactive approach with workload and special projects given

· Position also requires the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, effectively prioritizing multiple tasks

· Self-starter who can work with little supervision, be extremely organized and very detail oriented in a fast-paced environment

Requirements


· Minimum 1 year of Legal Billing experience

· Various e-billing sites Knowledge (LSS, Quovant, Bottomline, Collaboration, Serengeti)

· Ability to communicate effectively and clear with various levels of firm members

· Must have experience with Time and Billing Software

· Advanced computer skills with Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook

Salary Description
$25-$30
