The Maintenance Technician will be working alongside a small team in daily maintenance functions. This position will be responsible for preventive and predictive maintenance throughout the facility. Knowledge and safe practice in dealing with electrical is preferred.
Essential Functions
- Corrective and Preventative maintenance of equipment and control systems.
- Repair / adjust defective components, replacing worn parts, and inspecting components for accurate assembly and installation or for defects, such as loose connections or frayed wires.
- Test faulty equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using tools, test equipment or software, and applying knowledge of the functional operation of units and systems.
- Coordinate efforts and consult with management, co-workers, supervisors, engineers and contractors to resolve problems.
- Maintain and track spare control parts inventory.
- Ensure proper use of time, tools, specialty diagnostic devices, materials, parts.
- Occasional evenings, early hours, nights, weekends, or holidays will be necessary as projects or breakdowns may arise, including some on-call repair work.
Safety
- Safety for self and others is a core value.
- Follow safety procedures, including Lock Out / Tag Out, Arc Flash and associated PPE.
- Must wear safety glasses and steel toed shoes while in manufacturing areas.
- Occasional: respirator use, bending, kneeling, and properly maneuvering / lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Some work is on scissor lift and elevated platform heights.
Skills/Knowledge
- Electric and Electronics - Knowledge of powered industrial systems, use of ohm meter, electronic equipment, etc.
- Computers – Record retention and scheduling.
- Mechanical - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

Education/Experience
- 2+ years’ experience preferred
