Position Overview:
The Kids Director role provides leadership, vision, and direction that creates a vibrant, safe, atmosphere for the children, parents, and children’s ministry team of Change Church. The Kids Director will manage and execute the direction of Change Kids at the Change Dekalb location. This oversight includes direct responsibility for Change Kids, the development and maintenance of Change Littles, and to ensure children’s ministry is an organized, safe, comfortable environment for parents.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Serve in excellence by being early and prepared for all scheduled meetings.
- Establish and foster an exemplary relationship with staff/non-staff workers, church membership, and the community at large.
- Demonstrate a servant’s heart by having a willingness to perform other duties as needs may arise.
- Children’s Ministry Oversight:
- Oversee and organize the children’s ministry at the Change Church Dekalb Campus.
- Develop and oversee the implementation of policies throughout all locations and enforce compliance.
- Formulate children’s ministry facility standards for existing and new campuses.
- Ensure an epic experience for all children.
- Leadership and Team Management:
- Function as the liaison for the department to the management team.
- Lead department meetings and empower staff to fulfill their unique roles.
- Develop integrated training processes for nursery, kids, and special needs ministry leaders and Dream Team members.
- Recruit, develop, train, build, and lead teams to execute all aspects of children’s ministry for weekend services.
- Coach and resource Campus Kids Coordinators to their fullest leadership potential, empowering them to do the same with their Change Kids teams at the location level.
- Collaboration and Security:
- Collaborate with the Director of Security to develop and maintain security standards for NXT Gen.
- Work alongside Location Admins to ensure supplies (for crafts, etc.) are ordered in a timely manner.
- Curriculum and Programming:
- Develop a curriculum for children that reflects the teaching of Change Church.
- Oversee the Check-In and Check-Out process and create a system for reporting to provide care to families who have not attended (or checked in) recently.
- Brainstorm, study, and develop new strategies to reach the Next Generation.
- Program Change Global NXT GEN YouTube content (weekly).
- Create a fun, safe, and interactive environment for Change Kids to learn and grow.
- Oversee special event planning, including Summer Camp, VBS, and Dream Team appreciation events.
- Communication and Outreach:
- Oversee and develop all internal and external communication representing the Change Kids department.
- Make First Time Guest Calls as necessary to new families.
- Work with Marketing to ensure Change Kids Birthday Cards are sent out monthly.
- Littles Ministry:
- Build the volunteer Dream Team (ground up) for Change Little.
- Build Leaders and Team for Change Littles Programming.
- In conjunction with consultant/advisor lead initiative to start Littles Programming, vet and hire necessary staff for the littles area.
- Provide oversight and ensure the operations of the Littles wing are safe and compliant.
