Position Summary:
As the Boulder Development and Community Engagement Manager, you will serve as the primary ambassador for JFS in Boulder County, driving meaningful connections and sustainable growth for our organization.
This position is 18.75 hours per week. During events additional hours may be required.
Hiring Range: $32.00 - $38.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead strategic community outreach initiatives to expand JFS's presence and impact in Boulder
- Develop and nurture relationships with donors, managing individual giving programs and sponsorship opportunities
- Represent JFS at local Jewish community events, organizations, and synagogues
- Partner with Boulder staff to create compelling communications, innovative programs, and impactful community events
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community stakeholders, donors, and partners
- Develop a working knowledge of JFS Boulder in general and our funding priorities, specifically to articulate a compelling case for support to all donors and partners.
- Conduct outreach and presentations to Jewish community groups, clergy, and community leaders to inform, educate and inspire their engagement and partnership with JFS Boulder. This includes representing JFS Boulder at fundraisers, community events, and individual meetings.
- Collaborate and support systems and processes to grow and strengthen the donor pipeline at JFS through a focus on donor acquisition, donor retention, and gift upgrades.
- Focus on reactivation, renewal, and upgrading gifts that are given annually and through JFS Boulder and JFS events, as well as the acquisition of new donors, through targeted solicitations.
- Along with the JFS Boulder Director, be “the face” of JFS Boulder in the Boulder Jewish community to share impact, understand community needs, and evangelize our work to lead to a better informed and more engaged community.
- Collaborate with JFS Boulder staff on programming, communications, and community events.
- Relationship and pipeline management of individual gifts and event sponsorships in the broad range of $1,000 - $10,000.
- Activities include prospect and donor research, in-person meetings, donor relationship-building, and active donor stewardship and cultivation.
- Maintain a list of community events and relevant support of them.

Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in public administration, communications, marketing, human services, or social work-related fields, or related experience.
Experience:
- 2-4 years experience in development, fundraising, annual giving, or comparable experience.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, qualify, solicit, and steward gifts from individual donors at $1,000+.
- Ability to understand and interpret trends in individual giving to respond with appropriate management and solicitation strategies.
- Deep and proven familiarity, understanding, and relationships with Boulder’s Jewish community— donors, communal and religious leaders, influencers, as well as the broader community of nonprofit leaders.
- Event planning, community organizing, and community programming are a plus.
- Experience working within fundraising CRMs.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint/Teams, and PowerPoint.
