PCG Consulting group is a dynamic and innovative technology-driven organization that partners with health, education, and human services agencies to improve lives. We have partnered with Deloitte and are looking for Senior Level HR Operations Support.  


We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive Senior HR Operations Specialist to support the hiring process for a high-profile client within Cook County government. This is a senior-level position requiring a seasoned HR professional with a proven track record in executing recruitment operations at a high level. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, and show initiative in driving improvements and efficiencies. This role involves working closely with senior-level stakeholders, managing complex recruitment scenarios, and ensuring that the highest standards of professionalism and execution are consistently maintained. 


 Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Job Posting & Administration:
    • Develop and post job announcements on internal and external platforms with strategic targeting.
    • Manage and optimize job boards, ensuring accurate tracking and visibility of active postings.
    • Proactively identify and address gaps in job descriptions and postings to improve candidate quality.
  • Advanced Candidate Assessment & Screening:
    • Review and assess resumes and applications with a focus on identifying top-tier candidates.
    • Conduct detailed initial screening calls and provide insightful candidate summaries to hiring managers.
    • Track candidate progress through the hiring pipeline and anticipate potential challenges.
    • Provide consultative guidance to hiring managers on candidate fit and market conditions.
  • High-Level Hiring Process Support:
    • Manage complex scheduling requirements for interviews involving senior leadership and stakeholders.
    • Facilitate post-interview feedback sessions and provide actionable insights.
    • Support hiring managers at every stage of the process, including offer negotiation and onboarding.
    • Anticipate and resolve potential obstacles in the hiring process before they become issues.
  • Compliance & Process Enhancement:
    • Ensure all hiring activities align with Cook County government regulations and company policies.
    • Maintain meticulous records of job postings, candidate communications, and hiring outcomes.
    • Proactively identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Develop and share best practices across the hiring team to elevate overall performance.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in recruitment operations or talent acquisition support, with a focus on public sector or government hiring.
  • Deep expertise in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR technology platforms.
  • Strong understanding of public sector hiring complexities and compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and drive outcomes with minimal supervision.
  • Proven ability to manage high-stakes recruitment efforts with professionalism and discretion.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with government or public sector clients, particularly in Illinois.
  • Familiarity with Cook County government structure and hiring processes.
  • Experience supporting senior executives in high-pressure environments.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and recommend improvements.

Salary Description
$60-$75 Per hour
