As a Maintenance Planner/ Scheduler, the role will fulfill responsibilities such as but not limited to Planning and Scheduling of Dairy Processing equipment and processes. The role includes ensuring manufacturing performance, volume, and quality goals are met by utilizing efficient technical methods. Additionally, the Maintenance Planner/ Scheduler will collaborate with the Maintenance Management, Supervisors, Coordinator and Staff to align duties with the company's goals and values.

Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Works under general direction from the Maintenance manager
  • Follows company Environmental, Safety, and Health (ESH) guidelines
  • Receives assignments that are broad in nature requiring appreciable originality and ingenuity for successful completion
  • Plans and Schedules all maintenance work performed in his/her area of responsibility
  • Facilitates development of the weekly maintenance schedule in conjunction with appropriate maintenance, operations, and engineering personnel
  • Responsible for consistency of format for all job plans
  • Manages the PM program on a daily basis
  • Ensures correct parts and consumables are included in all job plans
  • Works with Maintenance Engineer and Reliability Engineer to ensure that spares are stocked at appropriate levels
  • Manages the CMMS (SAP) output of inspection schedules for PM and PdM routes
  • Completes job plans with manpower scheduling and parts verification per company standards for: Outages/Turnarounds, Equipment modifications, Standard Work, PMs and Condition Monitoring Inspections
  • Develops the master plan for outages/turnarounds
  • Updates Job Plan BOMs to reflect changes in materials
  • Manages the life of Work Requests/Work Orders, uses feedback to update Standard Work, Monitors job completion, Ensures correct closing codes are applied to completed work orders
  • Maintains the equipment hierarchy in the CMMS (SAP) system
  • Maintains the criticality database in the CMMS (SAP) system
  • Provides works management system reports. For example: Work Backlog, PM Compliance, Weekly Schedule, Overdue PMs, Overdue RCA/RCFA Action Items
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Must complete CBT’s assigned on quarterly basis

WORK CONDITIONS:

  • Extended hours may be necessary depending on the project needs.
  • May involve shift work depending on the plant's production schedule and or equipment availability. Ability to work overtime and be willing to work weekends if needed.
  • Ability to work in a demanding environment.
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills in a hands-on environment.
  • Physical demands associated with this position include extensive walking, lifting & carrying heavy weighted materials (up to 50lbs)
  • The ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
Requirements

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:


· Education

   -  Bachelor's degree is preferred in engineering or construction management

· Experience

   - 5+ years 2-5 years of experience in a maintenance planning role within a manufacturing or industrial setting  

· Certifications and specific knowledge

   - Strong understanding of maintenance planning and scheduling principles

   - Demonstrated Leadership Skills

   - Strong written, verbal, communication, and presentation skills

   - Proficient computer skills including MS Office Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

   - Very Strong SAP PM & MM (Power User)

Salary Description
Range $35.50 to $42.15
