We are currently seeking a full-time Quality Manager (Hardware & Software) in our West Jordan, Utah area!  


The Quality Manager (Hardware & Software) is responsible for establishing and maintaining a robust quality assurance process to ensure that both hardware and software products meet or exceed customer expectations. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions across both domains. The manager is tasked with establishing and implementing quality assurance processes, leading a team of quality assurance professionals, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to uphold and enhance quality standards for both hardware and software products. 


Duties Include:


Quality Management & Strategy: 

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive quality assurance (QA) strategy for both hardware and software products. 
  • Establish and enforce quality standards, processes, and best practices across teams. 
  • Define key quality metrics (KPIs) and monitor performance for continuous improvement. 
  • Collaborate with leadership to align quality objectives with business goals. 

Process Development & Compliance: 

  • Design and maintain quality control (QC) processes for hardware manufacturing and software. 
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective and preventive action plans (CAPA). 
  • Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and failure mode effects analysis (FMEA) to resolve quality issues. 

Testing & Validation: 

  • Oversee hardware reliability testing, performance validation, and failure analysis. 
  • Implement and manage software testing frameworks, including automated and manual testing processes. 
  • Ensure validation of new features, firmware updates, and hardware components before release. 
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to refine testing protocols and improve defect detection. 

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration: 

  • Lead and mentor QA teams for both hardware and software divisions. 
  • Work closely with product managers, engineers, and manufacturing teams to enhance product quality. 
  • Foster a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement within the organization. 
  • Act as the primary liaison between QA, production, and customer support teams. 

Supplier & Vendor Quality Management:

  • Evaluate and audit suppliers to ensure they meet company quality standards. 
  • Develop and maintain supplier quality agreements and performance monitoring processes. 
  • Address supplier-related defects and work with vendors to improve quality control. 

Customer Satisfaction & Issue Resolution: 

  • Analyze customer feedback, warranty claims, and defect reports to drive improvements. 
  • Develop processes for handling customer complaints and ensuring timely resolution. 
  • Provide regular quality reports and insights to stakeholders and executive teams. 
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in quality assurance/quality management, preferably in both hardware and software environments. 
  • Strong knowledge of quality standards, testing methodologies, and process improvement tools. 
  • Experience with software development methodologies. 
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. 

Compensation and Benefits:

Hourly wage is negotiable based on skill level and experience.
