The Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Policy Advisor/Analyst to support the Energy and Environmental Compliance Program Offices. This role is integral in shaping and implementing policies regarding Energy and Water Compliance, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and advancing the Navy's sustainability objectives.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop, analyze, and recommend policies related to Energy, Drinking Water, and Clean Water Act compliance within the DoN framework.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across various levels to assess the effectiveness of existing policies and ensure alignment with operational goals.
- Conduct comprehensive research and analysis to identify trends, requirements, and best practices in energy and water compliance.
- Prepare detailed reports, policy briefs, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Facilitate discussions and workshops to engage teams in the development and refinement of compliance strategies.
- Monitor regulations and legislation that impact energy and water policy, providing proactive recommendations for adjustments as needed.
- Support the implementation of programs and initiatives that promote compliance and sustainability within the Navy's operations.
**Personnel Qualifications:**
All personnel must have a minimum of ten years of proven experience in providing Department of the Navy (DoN) policy development for Energy and Water Compliance programs, including but not limited to Energy, Drinking Water, and Clean Water Act programs.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
- Direct and relevant experience in policy analysis and development within the field of energy and water compliance.
- Strong working knowledge of DoN water policy programs and regulatory frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing successful solutions and services related to environmental compliance.
- Exceptional communication skills, both orally and in writing, with the ability to convey complex information effectively to executives, staff, and clients.
- Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to initiatives.
- A minimum of three years of professional experience in drinking water and Clean Water Act compliance and policy.
