Payroll and Benefits Coordinator
Responsible for the entire bi-weekly payroll process for all partners of both MedFlight and MedCare – from collecting electronic timesheets, creating batches, entering necessary changes, and reviewing for accuracy prior to submission. Position is also the benefits contact for all partners of both MedFlight and MedCare for questions regarding coverage or deductions with necessary liaising or conversation facilitation with benefits broker or insurance companies.
Key Responsibilities
- HRIS Coordination: Works as part of larger HR team on all necessary and continuous improvement projects within HRIS system
- Payroll Management: Responsible for the entire bi-weekly payroll processes for both MedFlight and MedCare.
- Benefits Management: Is main point of contact for partners regarding enrollment issues, qualifying events, deductions, required support, 401K information, PTO and sick time balances.
- Taxes: Answers partner questions about federal, state, and local taxes and ensures any necessary changes are updated in the system and verifies accuracy with HRIS.
Qualifications
1. High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s Degree in HR or Accounting or related field preferred.
2. Minimum two years payroll experience required.
3. HR/benefits experience preferred.
4. Experience with Paylocity HRIS system preferred.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects at one time.
7. Ability to work well with all levels of staff.
8. Ability to work in an unstructured, non-routine environment.
9. Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
10. Good planning and organizational skills.
11. Excellent computer skills.
12. Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office.
