Job Summary:
Enlace Chicago partners with neighborhood Chicago Public Schools in Little Village to transform them into fun, safe, and innovative community-driven learning environments for youth and adults during after school hours. A Community School extends the walls of a traditional school into the community by coordinating classes, resources, events and opportunities for academic acceleration and intervention, social emotional development, arts and cultural enrichment, sports and outdoor programming, summer youth opportunities, middle school to high school transition, post-secondary success and career exploration, health and wellness and adult education with family leadership opportunities.
The Youth Services Manager oversees program planning, implementation and evaluation of Enlace Chicago’s Community Schools sites. In addition, the Manager will oversee quality assurance of programs across sites and supervise school-based staff. The role includes the ability to support the implementation of the Enlace and Education Team vision and framework, based on community cultural wealth and a strong commitment to collaborative work that will inform the community school programming inclusive of administration, youth, parents and multi-sector stakeholders.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work in collaboration with key stakeholders to develop new and sustainable programs.
- Commitment to an active participation in learning opportunities about Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
- Sustain and enhance partnership between the school and Enlace Education Team.
- Cultivate relationships with other local schools and social service organizations to continually enhance the services provided at the Community School.
- Collaborate with the entire Education team to streamline goals for Early Childhood Education, primary, middle school and high school transitions.
- Oversee compliance for education public and private grants, including any reporting requirements and deadlines set by funding agencies.
- Collaborate with Enlace education leadership and school administrators to develop and maintain budgets and expenses for all programs at the Community School.
- Ensure accurate and timely data collection on an ongoing basis and for annual external program evaluation, in collaboration with the Education Data and Evaluation Specialist.
- Represent Enlace at conferences, meetings, and trainings.
- Practice a high level of flexibility, coordination, and collaboration with the school staff and administration.
- Attend education department meetings, Enlace Chicago Staff Meetings, budget meetings and other meetings as identified by Enlace Education Team leadership and the school administration.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in education or social service preferred or 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of work experience managing programs within a school/educational setting.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with youth, parents, and community members.
- Effective communication and organizational skills; i.e. strong writing, research and presentation skills.
- Experience and commitment to working with urban Latino and Black communities.
- Highly motivated, dedicated, and detail oriented self-starter.
- Proven ability to form relationships, develop youth, and engage in community building and networking.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Suites is required.
- Knowledge of graphics software is a plus.
- A valid driver’s license and vehicle for transportation is required.
- Bilingual Spanish/English (speaking and writing) required.
COMPENSATION: The annual salary range for this position is 52,000 to 56,000; Salary is commensurate with experience in addition to the generous benefits package listed below.

- Retirement program. Enlace Chicago offers a voluntary 403(B) plan which begins at a 1% contribution. Enrollment is available after a 90-day grace period beginning on the first day of employment. An enrollment packet will be mailed to you.
- Paid time off. You will receive 96 hours of Upon Hire hours, which will be prorated depending on your start date. After your 3rd month, you will accrue 3.33 hours per pay period or a total of 6.66 per month . All vacation days are considered above and beyond the approved holiday schedule. Enlace has 12 paid holidays with a Holiday week between Christmas and New Year’s Day that will not be deducted from your PTO.
