Position Summary:

The Vice President, Supply Chain provides leadership, vision, direction and structure to the organizations inventory management, demand planning, and logistics functions, ensuring that it is aligned with the overarching AdaptHealth strategic priorities and company needs. This position will be responsible for all inventory and fulfillment functions whether at Adapt or third-party locations. This position is also responsible for managing all facilities/locations of the Division, including footprint strategy, and ensuring compliance with certain licensing/credentialling standards.  


Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:


Inventory management, demand planning, and logistics leadership:

  • Design and execute on the strategy, optimization, and alignment of the inventory management, demand planning, and logistics functions to enhance financial and operational efficiency and effectiveness while enhancing the patients’ experience of our products and services.
  • Champion the integration of innovative technologies and automation to streamline processes and achieve operational synergies that are scalable, sustainable, and profitable.
  • Effectively oversee and assess performance of the third-party vendors to ensure they are providing the required outsourced services at the expected level of quality. This position will be the key leadership point of contact for all divisional third-party fulfillment vendors regarding day-to-day business planning, issue resolution, process improvement, etc.
  • Collaborates with other leaders across the company to ensure inventory management, demand planning, and logistics activities are fulfilled efficiently and effectively.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to capture, evaluate, and report on the performance of all inventory management, demand planning, and logistics activities. Ensures that KPIs are used for continuous improvement and for strategic decision-making.
  • Ensures inventory is securely monitored, and any quantity discrepancies identified will be investigated and corrected.
  • Represents AdaptHealth in relevant external settings, including meetings with key suppliers and service providers, peer organizations, industry bodies, and leads or participates in negotiations for collaboration, partnership, or complex contractual arrangements, as necessary.
  • Maintain an effective working relationship with external consultants, as applicable.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality and functions within the guidelines of HIPAA.
  • Completes assigned compliance training and other educational programs as required.
  • Maintains compliant with AdaptHealth’s Compliance Program.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Facilities Management:

  • Manages all locations for the Division including footprint/PTAN strategy and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure business follows all licensing/credentialing requirements while partnering with Adapt’s Licensing/Credentialing team. Ensure compliance is met on all PTAN locations.
  • Manage all location leases including renewals, terminations, modifications, and new leases leveraging third party partners as needed.  
  • Responsible for overseeing all location closures/moves.
  • Handle all responsibilities of the business pertaining to credentialling, recredentialling, site visits/audits, etc.


Operations Planning:

  • As requested, the position will be tasked with assessing business processes and identifying optimization opportunities through process improvement and/or technology enablement.  
  • Complete analyses to determine savings/efficiency opportunities and, ultimately, actual savings/efficiencies realized. Develop KPIs to ensure business achieves desired results and maintains performance levels.

Requirements

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, business, procurement, or a related discipline from an accredited university required, master’s degree preferred.
  • Ten (10) years of relevant experience with supply chain management, procure-to-pay processes, business process improvement, and risk management.
  • Five (5) years of management experience in related position required.
  • Previous experience at a publicly traded company is preferred; healthcare industry experience is a plus.
  • Experience communicating with, collaborating with, and presenting to senior management.

  • Must be able to bend, stoop, stretch, stand, and sit for extended periods of time.
  • Subject to long periods of sitting and exposure to computer screen.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions of wrists, hands, and/or fingers due to extensive computer use.
  • Mental ability to lead others and change processes in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds as needed.
  • Excellent ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • May be exposed to angry or irate customers or patients.
  • Must be able to travel as needed.
