Overview

The Communications & Membership Services Coordinator is responsible for developing and executing communication strategies that enhance the club's image, engage members, and promote events and services. This role combines managing the club's digital and print communications, including website content, social media, newsletters, and promotional materials, with supporting the Director of Membership & Marketing. The ideal candidate will possess strong writing skills, creativity, and excellent organizational abilities, working collaboratively with various departments to ensure consistent and effective messaging while providing exceptional membership services. This position plays a crucial role in enhancing member engagement and delivering high-quality member experiences.


Education and/or Experience

  • Preferred bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Preferred 2+ years of experience in a communications, marketing, or public relations role, preferably in a private club, hospitality, or similar environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in website management, social media platforms, content management systems and multimedia tools.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of the private club industry or hospitality sector is a plus.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Communications

  • Content Creation & Management: Develop, write, and edit engaging content for various communication channels, including the club's website, social media platforms, email newsletters, and print materials.
  • Website Maintenance: Regularly update the club's website and addition platforms with current information, photos, and videos. Create and schedule content to promote club events, services, and member achievements.
  • Event Promotion: Collaborate with the events team to create promotional materials for club events, including flyers, brochures, and digital campaigns.
  • Public Relations: Assist in maintaining a positive public image for the club through press releases, community outreach, and other PR activities.
  • Graphic Design & Multimedia: Design visually appealing graphics and multimedia content for communication channels. Work with photographers and videographers to produce high-quality visual content for promotional use.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Monitor and report on the effectiveness of communication strategies using analytics tools and use insights to enhance future communications.

Membership Services

  • New Member Onboarding: Assist in the onboarding process for new members, including orientation coordination, distribution of welcome packets, and introductions to club services and amenities.
  • Membership Inquiries: Serve as a contact for prospective and current member inquiries, providing information about club membership, events, and services.
  • Database Management: Maintain accurate member records in the club's membership database, including contact information, membership status, and engagement history.
  • Membership Marketing Support: Assist the Director of Membership & Marketing in developing and executing marketing campaigns aimed at attracting and retaining members. This includes supporting the creation of marketing collateral and coordinating special promotions.

Administrative Support

  • Assistant to the Director of Membership and Marketing: Provide administrative support to the Director, including scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and preparing reports.
  • Event Coordination: Assist in coordinating membership-related events, including member orientations, open houses, and social gatherings.
  • Compliance & Brand Management: Ensure all communications and member services are in compliance with club policies and maintain consistency with the club's brand identity.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, stand and lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time.
  • Moderate noise level in the work environment.
  • Must be able to handle hot and cold interior and outdoor conditions.


Salary Description
$23-$25/Hour
