We are looking for Director of Finance to join our team!


We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Director of Finance (DOF) to join our established Orthopedic Specialty practice, in Schaumburg Illinois. As the DOF you will play a vital role in managing our financial operations, including our internal accounting and revenue cycle. If you are a highly organized professional with a strong background in finance working in the medical industry, exposure to medical coding, E.H.R. systems, we want to hear from you


Reports to: Chief Executive Officer

Supervises: All practice financial and revenue cycle functions


What the Role Entails:

- Oversee financial management, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

- Develop presentations and narrative descriptions, analysis findings and recommendations to the Audit and Finance Committee.

- Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance.

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports with the assistance of our outside accounting firm.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and monitor budgets and forecasts.

- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain strong internal controls.

- Drive cost optimization initiatives and identify opportunities for revenue growth.

- Lead financial analysis, risk assessment, and performance evaluation to drive informed decision-making.

- Manage relationships with financial institutions in conjunction with the CEO.

- Manage the year-end audit process and ensure timely completion along with our outside accounting firm.

- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

- Supervise and mentor a finance team of professionals and the group’s revenue cycle manager.

Requirements

Job Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (CPA designation preferred)

- Proven experience in financial management as well as in revenue cycle management in the medical industry.

- Strong financial acumen and a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles.

- Demonstrated expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.

- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

- Advanced proficiency in financial software and MS Excel

- Effective communication and leadership abilities
