Basic Functions and Scope of Job: 

The Warehouse Associate Outbound is responsible for outbound shipment activities such as: arrange shipping with preferred shipping vendors, including small pack carriers such as UPS & FedEx. This position will require use and knowledge outbound SAP transactions, and WMS software.

He/she is to perform hands-on tasks that include packaging, photos, labeling. Shipping 


Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Develop and demonstrate an understanding of the shipping functions related to UPS, FedEx, common carrier, and other modes of shipping.
  • Prepare packages, package items, take photos for daily shipments
  • Possess understanding of correct packaging process  
  • Prepare all associated documentation for shipments by carriers (LTL, FEDEX, UPS)
  • Operate a forklift or other material handling devices
  • Use measuring devices (Tape, Micrometer, Gauges etc.)
  • Complete required SAP transactions; operate Modula WMS / ASRS software
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and safe working environment

Qualifications and Skills:

This role is pivotal in coordinating the movement of material and relationships with third party vendors while meeting the needs of the company, our dealers, and our customers.  

  • Ability to operate a forklift, various material handling devices, and Modula Lift machine is essential; training can be provided on an as-needed basis 
  • Thorough knowledge of software such as (but not limited to) SAP, MPS, and WMS is essential; training can be provided on an as-needed basis  
  • Understanding to International Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS & Sched B Classifications) and understanding of International Shipping and documentation requirements (to all countries) is essential 
  • Understanding of the manufacturing industry is essential 
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in current versions of MS Office, is required; must be proficient in computer applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and must be able to navigate custom databases and on-line document management software


Must be able to pass background check and drug screening.
