FAI Quality Specialist

  Position Summary:


 Cristek is a Qnnect Company, a portfolio company of Arcline Investment Management, with revenues above $80 million and ~350 employees across multiple locations. 

 

Cristek manufactures electrical connectors, cable assemblies, harnesses, and related electro-mechanical products, and holds multiple quality certifications including AS9100 & ISO 9001. Cristek, established in 1985, is headquartered in Anaheim, CA with divisions in North Billerica, MA and Minden, NV.  The FAI Quality Analyst, based in Anaheim, CA will collaborate with associates across multiple departments & sites, to insure accurate and timely processing of First Article Inspection Reports, and to provide general support to the Quality department.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Process AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR).
  • Collaborate with inspection personnel.
  • Maintain FAI tracking logs.
  • Convert content of customer drawings, specs, & parts lists into AS9102 report format.
  • Analyze material certifications relative to customer and industry requirements.
  • Support other team members with dimensional and visual inspection.
  • Prepare End Item Data Packages.
  • Collect APQP input (process flows, PFMEA, control plans, capacity analyses, etc.)
  • Input data into customer portals.
  • Collaborate with customer Field Quality Engineers during the review of FAIRs.
  • Support customer source inspections.
  • Support the Material Review Board (MRB) in the processing of Non-Conformances (NCMR).
  • Support activity related to Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPA, SCAR, RCCA).
  • Support the activity related to retention of QPL products (sample preparation, testing coordination, documentation, reporting to Defense Logistics Agency).
  • Support internal & external audits.
Requirements

  

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma. Desired additional technical education or training.
  • Experience in a Manufacturing environment.
  • Exposure to AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports.
  • Exposure to Quality Standards including AS9100, AS9145, ISO 9001 and Quality Management Systems.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills with colleagues and management.

Desired Qualifications:

  • English / Spanish bilingual, written and verbal capabilities.
  • Experience in the various AS9145 APQQP phases of product development.
  • Experience with MIL-Specs and other industry standards used in aerospace and defense designs.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings.  

This position requires use of information which is subject to compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
